We had much success and a ton of fun with last year’s TVnext℠ Summit. A lot happens in a year – especially in the modern world of television. And they say three’s a charm, so here it is – our 3rd annual TVnext℠ Summit – on Monday April 29, 2013 at Boston’s Institute of Contemporary Art.
Belief + Behavior
The theme of our 2013 TVnext Summit is Belief + Behavior—What we've believed to be true with television versus our modern behaviors around the over seven decade medium. And in that vein, we’ve planned a fast-paced day of content that challenges our longstanding beliefs and reveals insights giving us a glimpse of television’s future as new media.
We have a killer lineup of speakers that we’ll be announcing soon and we’re super excited to feature Twitter’s Fred Graver and NPR’s Neda Ulaby.
FRED GRAVER - Twitter
Fred leads the TV Team at Twitter. The team is responsible for integrating Twitter into broadcasts and networks, extending the reach of shows and talent, innovating new ways of storytelling, and giving millions of Twitter users a new way of enjoying television.
Fred’s career spans comedy writing and producing (Late Night With David Letterman, Cheers, In Living Color, Jon Stewart), interactive producing (The MY Vh1 Awards, ZoogDisney), and creating shows that span the web and television (Best Week Ever). He has 7 Emmy Nominations (including one for the post-9/11 “Concert for New York City) and 3 Emmys, as well as a NAACP award and a Webby.
NEDA ULABY - NPR
Neda reports on arts, entertainment, and cultural trends for NPR's Arts Desk. Scouring the various and often overlapping worlds of art, music, television, film, new media and literature, Ulaby's radio and online stories reflect political and economic realities, cultural issues, obsessions and transitions, as well as artistic adventurousness— and awesomeness.
Over the last few years, Ulaby has strengthened NPR's television coverage both in terms of programming and industry coverage. Her profiles have brought listeners into the worlds of such performers as Tyler Perry, Ryan Seacrest, Mark Ruffalo, and Courtney Love.
If you get your tickets before February 1, you’ll save $300 off of the regular price.
