Joe Erwin

President, Erwin-Penland
Joe conceived and co-founded Erwin-Penland in 1986. His commitment to smart business principles, integrity, growth, and customer service has resulted in one of the largest agencies in the Southeast. "EP has never lost a client to another agency, and has never laid off an employee," claims Joe proudly. His experience includes work for Corning Glass, Wachovia, Michelin, Duke Energy, and BMW.
"I'm not one to compromise," he says. "If there’s a way to get it done — to get it all done — I’ll find it." As a young copywriter in New York, he wrote John Madden’s first TV spot for Quincy’s Family Steakhouse and, showing time management and negotiation skills that are still evident today, took his bride Gretchen on the shoot… for their honeymoon.
