Hill Holliday managed to place two creative teams, Eric Shi/Mike Rodrigues and Megan O’Connell/Lindsay Bowen, onto the short list in this year’s International Young Guns creative competition. This is huge. Out of over 600 creatives who entered from all over the world, 4 were ours. Not too shabby, people.
Art director Eric Shi and copywriter Mike Rodrigues are even more pumped this morning. Well, why wouldn’t they be? They took the Bronze award for their entry, “Chicks”. (The body copy reads: Given the inhumane conditions on factory farms, the last thing a chick wants to be is a chicken.)
Young Guns is limited to creatives 30 and under. All the entrants are given the same brief. This year, they had to create a campaign for PETA, People for the Ethical Treatment Of Animals.
Here’s Megan and Lindsay’s entry. The body copy says: Eating is no different than killing.
