We want to find out what motivates people (including many of us at Hill Holliday) to play social games like FarmVille, CityVille, etc.)
We're intrigued by the fact that:
- 1/5 of the US population reports playing a social game within the last 3 months
- Online gaming has surpassed email as the second most popular online activity
- Social gaming revenues are expected to surpass $1 billion dollars this year
- Advertisers may spend 60% more in 2011 than they did in 2010 on social gaming
