Peter Nicholson started the year 2023 off with a bang, joining Hill Holliday as the Chief Creative Officer.  With 20+ years of experience as one of the most awarded and modern-day creative thinkers in the country, Peter is driven by innovation and collaboration. Stoking the team’s wide eye love for ideas and helping them let go of the fear of failure–solving the business needs first to uncover the most impactful creative solution. Before coming to Hill Holliday, Peter spent a year of intense focus on emerging digital innovation & media, blockchain and the intersection of data science with the art of creativity. Previously, Peter had been Partner/Chief Creative Officer of Periscope.  He has been Chief Creative Officer of Publicis NY, Deutsch NY, JWT North America, Red Scout as well as senior creative leadership positions at Goodby Silverstein, Mckinney and Leagas Delaney. Peter is one of the few creative leaders who has worked across every category and vertical including emerging new markets such as crypto and blockchain technology companies.  

Throughout his career he has consistently received accolades including Cannes Lions, Effies,  One Show Pencils, D&AD Pencils, Webbys, The Art Directors Club, Crain’s 40 under 40. His work and opinions have been featured in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Harvard Business Review and Wired.
